Wind, come softly.
Don’t break the shutters of the windows.
Don’t scatter the papers
Don’t throw down the books on the shelf.
There, look what you did – you threw them all down.
You tore the pages of the books.
You brought rain again.
You’re very clever at poking fun at weaklings.
Frail crumbling houses, crumbling doors, crumbling rafters,
Crumbling wood, crumbling bodies, crumbling lives,
Crumbling hearts-
The wind God winnows and crushes them all.
हवा, धीरे बहो। खिड़कियों को बंद करने वाले झाप, जिससे खिड़की बंद होती है व खुलती है, को मत तोड़ो। पत्ते मत बिखेरो। शैल्फ से किताबें नीचे मत गिराओ। देखो, तुमने क्या किया? तुमने उन किताबों को नीचे गिरा दिया। तुमने किताबों के पन्ने फाड़ दिए। तुम फिर से बारिश ले आई। तुम कमजोर की खिल्ली उड़ाने में बहुत तेज हो। कमजोर चरमराते घर, चरमराते दरवाजे, चरमराते छत के फ्रेम, चरमराती लकड़ी, चरमराते शरीर, चरमराती जिंदगीयां, चरमराते दिल, इन सब को हवा का देवता रौंद देता है।

Let’s joint the doors firmly.
Practice to firm the body.
Make the heart steadfast.
Do this, and the wind will be friends with us.
The wind blows out weak fires.
He makes strong fires roar and flourish.

तेज हवा का देवता वह नहीं करेगा जो तुम उससे करने को कहोगे। इसलिए आओ अपने घरों को मजबूत बनाए। आइए, हम अपने दरवाजे ठीक तरह से बंद करें। अपने शरीर को बलिष्ठ और हृदय को दृढ़ बनाएं। यह सब करो, तब हवा का देवता तुम्हारा दोस्त बन जाएगा। हवा का देवता कमजोर आग को बुझा देता है और तेज आग को और अधिक दर्जन भरा और फलता फूलता कर देता है। उसकी दोस्ती अच्छी है। हम उसकी प्रतिदिन प्रशंसा करते हैं।
