Synthesis of Sentences – Use of Nominative Absolute
-: Rule of Nominative Absolute :-
Nominative Absolute दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है –
(i) Nominative – जिसका अर्थ कर्ता होता है।
(ii) Absolute – जिसका अर्थ स्वतंत्र होता है।
अर्थात इन दोनों को मिलाकर हम कहेंगे कि –
दिए गए Sentences में से किसी एक Sentence को हम एक नियम के तहत स्वतंत्र कर देते हैं।
Nominative Absolute का प्रयोग करके दो या दो से अधिक Simple Sentences को मिलाकर एक नया Simple Sentence हम तब बनाते हैं जब हमें निम्नलिखित तथ्य दिखाई दे –
(i) दिए गए वाक्यों के subject अलग अलग हो
(ii) दिए गए वाक्यों में से एक वाक्य reason (कारण) को दिखा रहा हो जबकि दूसरा वाक्य result (परिणाम) को
दिए गए sentences में से जो वाक्य reason को दिखा रहा हो उसी के कर्ता को हम निम्न नियम के अनुसार स्वतंत्र करते हैं –
Rule – 1 यदि reason दिखाने वाला वाक्य active voice में हो तो उसके subject को लिखकर having के साथ verb का third form लिख कर हम उस वाक्य के कर्ता को स्वतंत्रता देते हैं।
Rule – 2 यदि reason दिखाने वाला वाक्य Passive voice में हो तो उसके subject को लिखकर having been के साथ verb का third form लिख कर हम उस वाक्य के कर्ता को स्वतंत्रता देते हैं।
Rule – 3 यदि reason दिखाने वाले वाक्य में is/am/are/was/were Main Verb के रूप में कार्य करें तो Subject के पश्चात being का प्रयोग करके हम उस वाक्य के कर्ता को स्वतंत्र करते हैं।
Examples :-
Separate – The sun rose. The fog disappeared.
Combined – The sun having risen, the fog disappeared.
Separate – The teacher entered the class.
The boys became silent.
Combined – The teacher having entered the class, the boys became silent.
Separate – The captain was killed. The army fled.
Combined – The captain having been killed, the army fled.
Separate – The leader was slain. The followers ran away in fear.
Combined – The leader having been slain, the followers ran away in fear.
Separate – The work was done. We went back home.
Combined – The work having been done, we went back home.
Separate – It was a holiday. We didn’t go to school.
Combined – It being a holiday, we didn’t go to school.
Separate – The sky was cloudy. It may rain today.
Combined – The sky being cloudy, it may rain today.
Separate – The picture was interesting. We enjoyed it very much.
Combined – The picture being interesting, we enjoyed it very much.
Separate – The weather was bad. We stayed in doors.
Combined – The weather being bad, we stayed in doors.
